Julie Markham is passionate about using technology to empower people for social impact. She hustled her way to work with the Unreasonable Group in the early inception days in 2012 and has worn many hats at the company from serving as the Managing Director of Unreasonable Media, to running operations for Unreasonable@Sea, and serving as the finance lead across 5 companies. She has worked for 2 tech startups that have failed, and began her career as an capital markets investment banker. She took a semi-'sabbatical' year to London, UK where she completed a Fulbright Grant and founded pingWHEN - a personal safety app, and took that start up through TechStars: London. She has three master's (in business, real estate, and entrepreneurship). Fun random facts: she interned for a Nobel Peace Prize laureate in Bangladesh, competed as a competitive figure skater, couchsurfed around the world, literally, and most importantly is looking for any leads to casting agents for The Amazing Race. =)
