My name is Jordan Robinson. I’ve been a self-taught Sr. UX/UI Designer for 9+ years. I’ve recently discovered a strong passion to help junior UX/UI designers learn the craft and enhance their lives like I did.
When I was 24 years old (Feb. 2013), I took a daring chance to change my life by moving from New Jersey to Seattle for a job interview with a design agency. I got it, but soon after, that business closed.
Through a long and adventurous journey, I’ve learned all about UX/UI design and the skills needed to be efficient at it. Before I truly understood it, I got a UX/UI job with a hospital to completely redesign their intranet.
I had to study UX/UI design principles at night and apply them at work the following day. After successfully creating a new intranet in 6 months, I continued as a UX/UI designer with bigger companies like Capital One Investing (where I learned about Design Thinking and Design Sprints), AT&T, NCR, and numerous other positions.
Now I want to focus my energy on coaching / mentoring / and motivational speaking to junior and aspiring designers on how to use a UX/UI design career to improve their lives, like it did for me.
