Jon is an ecoactivist, entrepreneur, and sailor. He works as a technology startup consultant focused on product marketing and business development. Upon arriving in the Bay Area, he founded Blockchain for Ecology a nonprofit think tank that explored ways to use technology to accelerate ecosystem restoration and regeneration, and after realizing that industry was slow to adopt technological solutions, he founded Hack for Earth to accelerate adoption and match talented technologists to capitalized ecological restoration projects. His passion for ecology came from youthful surfing journeys with his uncle in Cape Cod and through his undergraduate studies of food systems. Jon graduated with an MS in Finance from CUNY Baruch and obtained his Permaculture Design Certification from the Center for Bioregional Living in NY.
