Chicago
John has always had a curiosity for how and why users love the products and services they use. This lead him to pursue a degree in Industrial Design from Columbia College Chicago. From there his passion for great design led him to work in a variety of different industries, including: Custom Furniture, Marketing and Sign & Identification. A few years later, John transitioned from Industrial to Digital by way of the UXDI program at General Assembly. John’s drive for figuring out what motivates users enabled him to enhance his skill-set to create more meaningful visuals that enhance experiences.
Currently at The Nerdery, John specializes in orchestrating the visual design portion of client engagements while also leading the visual design team, which has given him a deeper understanding of his own values. He strives to set his team up for success with clear & actionable feedback and mentoring on client communication.
