Melbourne
Product designer, digital marketer and business operator, John is a multi-talented serial entrepreneur. From product concepts and design to sales and marketing, John’s top-down understanding of the digital world makes him a powerful team leader.
John’s personal experience of moving from secondary school to university left him frustrated and disillusioned. After 12 months at Monash University in a Bachelor of Business Commerce degree, John took the decision to leave university to pursue an entrepreneurial path. He was determined to find a better way for students in the same situation, not being sure what to do on leaving school and started exploring ideas for how students might better navigate this transition process.
With his mother (Dominique Fisher) as co-founder, CareerLounge was born. John has contributed to every facet of CareerLounge through its evolution from business strategy, sales and market evaluation to product engineering, branding, communications and marketing. He has become a knowledgeable business leader as he has grown and shrunk teams through the trials and tribulations of an 'early days' startup.
