Johanna Ostrich is a freelance designer in DC, specializing in UX and visual design for the web. She helps organizations tell their stories in a clear and actionable way.
Before starting her business, Johanna was the Creative Director at Beekeeper Group, a DC public affairs firm (think PR for causes). She also worked on the in-house design team at Kaiser Permanente and has teamed up with some great clients like the YMCA of Metropolitan Washington, the Sweetlife Music + Food Festival, and The Indivisible Project.
Originally from Pensacola, FL, Johanna graduated from Tulane University with a BA in English and German. She also holds a Graphic and Web Design Certificate from the Boston University Center for Digital Imaging Arts. She is a proud three-time semi-finalist in the Washington Post Peeps Diorama Contest.
In recognition of her exemplary service in the classroom, Johanna has been selected as a member of General Assembly's Distinguished Faculty program.
