Denver
Jim is a commercial and editorial photographer specializing in portraiture, lifestyle and events. He spent two decades in Washington, D.C., working as a full-time graphic designer, but never lost sight of his passion for photography, which began in high school. A fateful lay-off in 2008 prompted him to pursue this passion full-time. Since arriving in Colorado in October 2015, Jim has been photographing CreativeMornings Denver events and capturing portraits of their speakers. He's photographed USA Boxing Champion and 2016 Olympian Mikaela Mayer for The Atlantic in 2016, and countless tailgaters at every Broncos home game during the 2017 season.
Jim has sat on the boards of AIGA DC, APA DC and ASMP Colorado. He is an advocate for personal connections and real-life interactions in a digital world, prompting many to call him "old school."
