Jesse is designer with a keen interest in the intersection of technology, people and culture. His craft is grounded in traditional graphic design methodologies that inform design choices based on culture, context, and human psychology. His life-long curiosity about how things work started with taking apart every electronic item he could find, starting with the Atari, then moving on to the family radio and television and finally the playstation. His favorite childhood hack was converting a touch-tone phone keypad into an Atari controller.
Jesse combines his technological know how with a passion for understanding how design impacts people’s lives — he loves to work where the digital and physical world’s intersect. He’s created interactive experiences across web design, mobile/tablet, interactive retail experiences, wearable tech and IOT technologies. From stand-alone websites in the early days of the internet to interactive displays at the 9/11 Memorial Museum in New York and digital in-store experiences for Samsung. His clients have included traditional agencies, startups and fortune 500 companies including work for MetLife, The NFL, Fidelity, Merck, Lowes, TheLadders.
Jesse lives with integrated technology too — he’s infused his house with smart home and IOT technologies, including remote cameras, networked lighting, voice control and wearable technology. In his spare time, he’s also building interactive cat toys with his first Arduino.
He embraces the idea that well designed tools can not only delight and entertain, but can also enrich people's lives.
