Jeremy Tupper

Instructor Software Engineering, General Assembly

Toronto

Jeremy first got excited about teaching while in university, where he taught CS Free School classes on topics such as iOS and JavaScript development, and became a mentor for Ladies Learning Code classes. After finishing a degree in Computer Science, Jeremy went on to graduate from the Next36 program for entrepreneurs in Canada, and also graduated from the Venture for Canada fellowship program. After working with several early stage startups in Toronto, he moved to San Francisco and worked on a small team of developers at Revlo, a Y Combinator backed startup that made loyalty programs for over 40 million Twitch.tv viewers. Revlo was eventually acquired by Amazon. After moving back to Toronto, Jeremy cofounded and built CapIntel, a financial data company that makes it easier for financial advisors to analyze and compare client portfolios. Jeremy has always loved presenting and public speaking, and mixing them with technology has made him a passionate teacher of software engineering. When he’s not teaching, Jeremy is either in the water, on the slopes, or on the soccer pitch.
