Jeff Heppert is a UX Designer at August, crafting the front door experience for the smart home with the August Smart Lock and Doorbell Cam. Initially starting as a Computer Science major, he pivoted to design and received his BA from Academy of Art University in San Francisco. While relatively new to design as a profession, he has been obsessed with how things work since he was old enough to dissect his broken toys. A firm believer that the best UI is no UI, he is passionate about making technology that fits into people’s lives, and not the other way around.
