Jay Renkens is Principal and the Director of Denver Area Operations for MIG, Inc., a woman-owned national multidisciplinary planning and design firm with 240 employees in 15 US offices.
Mr. Renkens specializes in planning for cities and towns, facilities, transit-oriented developments, and public realm, streetscape and plaza design. His keen design skills are complemented by his extensive experience leading large teams and his ability to communicate seamlessly with diverse groups of stakeholders and the public. His expansive portfolio includes adopted plans, conceptual and detailed site and area plans, and built projects across the country. Prior to joining MIG, Mr. Renkens worked for the City of Portland as a planner and outreach specialist focusing on multi-modal transportation and transit-oriented development.
Mr. Renkens holds a Master of Urban Planning and Regional Planning, Portland State University; a Master of Psychology of Health and Exercise, Purdue University; and a Bachelor of Science in Health Promotion and Wellness, University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
