Jason Rosenblum, Ph.D

Jason Rosenblum is an Assistant Professor of Visual Studies at St. Edward's University. Dr. Rosenblum has taught a diverse array of digital media and game studies courses that include game design, digital music and audio, interactive technologies and social media and digital analytics. In addition to years of experience as a university classroom instructor, Dr. Rosenblum has 20 years of experience as an educational technologist and technology innovator. Notable projects include transforming a global social problems course that he taught using game-based learning techniques and designing a 3-D simulation in Second Life to support a philosophy course. Dr. Rosenblum holds a a Master's degree in Computer Education and Cognitive Systems from the University of North Texas in addition to a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Austin, with an emphasis in Learning Technologies. His professional and research interests include impact games, teaching and learning innovation, curriculum development, music composition and sound design for games.
