Jasmine Smith is the CEO of SmithCo. Jasmine started her professional career as a consultant with leading consulting firms, Accenture and Porter Novelli, while building a niched wedding planning business. In between weddings, Jasmine freelanced as an associate producer for a NY-based media company. On a personal mission to create a diverse community of wedding creatives, she founded DC Wedding Week in 2018 where for three years, she leveraged her experience and relationships, to deliver curated experiences attracting more than 300+ wedding industry professionals and over $100k+ in partnerships.
Since May 2020, Jasmine has successfully produced virtual events and integrated brand activations for notable mission-focused organizations including the Clinton Global Initiative and the Andrew Goodman Foundation while collaborating with corporate sponsors including Facebook, Netflix, and Pernod Ricard. Today, Jasmine is focused on building her first product-based business while consulting as the Client Experience Officer (CXO) for an Atlanta-based event tech start-up. She is an advisory board member for The Knot’s Fellowship for Change program and serves as the Brand Ambassador for Black in Events a global organization created to change and promote diversity and inclusion in the meetings and events industry. Jasmine was raised all over the world as a military dependent and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing and a Master’s degree in Public Relations from Georgetown University. She has a certificate in Women’s Entrepreneurship from Cornell University and is a certified product manager.
