James Routledge

Founder, Sanctus

London

James started his first business with friends at University aged 20, went onto 2 accelerator programs (Ignite and Seedcamp), raised $1m in Angel Venture Capital investment and grew the team and product to relative scale (without ever going back to University).

In the process of selling their assets & IP to their biggest customer, James burnt out, suffered severe anxiety and had multiple panic attacks. He'd pushed himself to the limit for 3 years working on something he wasn't truly passionate about.

As a result he's now set up Sanctus, which aims to transform perceptions around mental health and help people become the best version of themselves. He's doing this through a suite of mental health classes, workshops and community events.

His big goal is to put the world's first Mental Health Gym on the high street.
