My name is Jade Fernandez and I was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. I have a BS in Product Design Engineering and an MS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. Before Square, I was at Apple for 3 years designing packaging. I focused on customer experience and functional packaging with a sustainable initiative. Now, I am at Square doing hardware development for payment processing devices. I am excited to be working at a company with a strong mission to bring economic empowerment to diverse communities. It feels exceptionally important in these times. In my free time, I love to make things, do art, and surf.
