Jacqui is a User Experience Designer at digital product design and development studio, Papercloud. In the seven months since completing the General Assembly UX Design Immersive, Jacqui has worked on an array of different projects, from designing an iOS app for a startup aimed at simplifying the recruitment process to conducting research for REA Group to help determine how best to improve the workflow of their Creative Services team.
Long before Jacqui heard the term ‘UX Design’, human-computer interaction fascinated her. Finding websites, and later apps, that didn’t work quite as they should and imaging how she might reinvent them soon became a favourite pastime. So after a few years working alongside UX teams and seeing firsthand the value user-centred design brings to both businesses and their customers, she decided to follow her passion for creating intuitive and engaging digital experiences.
Jacqui studied Journalism and in a past life, worked as a copywriter before moving into campaign management and later marketing analytics. Having spent a lot of time solving business problems, she came to realise that what she’s really passionate about is is solving customer problems and is happiest when she’s using creative thinking and user-centered design to create inclusive and engaging products.
