    Freya is the Head of Community, Partnerships and Events for Beam Wallet, a payments platform disrupting the retail value chain with over 750,000 users, processing + 4 million transactions. Freya is helping the team to take the platform global utilising blockchain to drive scale.

    Prior to this Freya worked as the Head of Communications for Recomazing, Australia’s largest database of recommendations by entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs. She regularly worked with tech leaders from Slack, Canva, DropBox, HubSpot and many more to drive collaboration within the Australian startup ecosystem. Freya was instrumental in rolling out Recomazing to 30+ Australian business communities (coworking, online and accelerators) to drive growth, helping the team to secure +$2 million AUD in funding. During this time Freya also helped Campfire, Asia’s fastest-growing coworking space, to launch their member platform through a series of CMX focused events.

    Freya is also super passionate about female entrepreneurship and building communities. In 2015 she started the first female entrepreneur group for Fishburners, Australia’s largest tech startup co-working space. Freya is an experienced moderator and speaker, hosting a panel for the opening of the NSW Government’s Sydney Startup Hub, speaking at the Blockchain Centre Melbourne, Product Hunt Sydney and Tank Stream Labs for Female Entrepreneur Week.

    Prior to this Freya has worked for leading global PR firms and also ran her own communications consulting business. Freya has a Bachelor of Communications, specialising in Broadcast Journalism from Charles Sturt University and is currently studying a Bachelor of Psychological Science.
