Francis leads the Advanced Technology group at Audible (an Amazon company). Audible is the world’s largest seller and producer of digital spoken-word entertainment and has revolutionized how customers experience the spoken word. Francis’ group explores everything from physical devices and sensor technology, content semantics, machine learning, advances in audio processing and much more.

Audible has been a rocketship and along that journey Francis built and built and led the Core Engineering group at Audible which served as the technology engine of the business, everything from content ingestion, membership, catalog publishing, personalization right through to audio delivery.

Prior to joining Audible, Francis spent 15 years across multiple sectors (fintech, life sciences, media) building teams, designing systems and shipping software for some of the largest institutions in the world.
