Emmet Allen is a career switcher from working in the medical industry to now working as software engineer consultant for Thoughtworks. Emmet made the switch after dropping out of nursing school, being burned out by the medical industry and wanting something that can provide him the creative and intellectual freedom that he so desperately craved. Not having any background in tech besides "hacking" video game consoles and some coding experience with changing the colors of his profile background back in the Myspace days; his journey began at free code camp to now being a full time engineer, part time student, and all-the-time knowledge seeker and experience giver.
