Open Source Engineer and Evangelist, Formidable Labs

Emma made the switch to software development after working in the legal field and realizing a job as an attorney wasn't for her (luckily before enrolling in and paying for law school!). Emma has a BA in Politics and International Relations from Scripps College and a WDI Certificate from General Assembly. Emma currently works as an Open Source Engineer and Evangelist at Formidable in Fremont, where she works primarily on their open source charting library for React, Victory, and collaborates on a number of marketing initiatives for the company.

When not writing React code or plugging for Formidable's OSS offerings, Emma can be found obsessing over dogs of all kinds, shouting into the void on Twitter, or nerding out over civic tech and driverless cars.
