An accomplished grant writer and poet, Emily has also spent years immersed in the visual landscapes of filmmaking and theatre, and doing extensive ethnographic and creative work with the American and Irish Deaf communities. Emily (re)discovered sketchnoting in 2014, and realized she’d already been doing it for years. She decided to hone her passion into a profession, and today, she works as a graphic recorder and writer for hire.
