Ella Kaplan is a freelance UX Researcher and Designer. She is always trying to find new ways to better advocate and design for users, and gets excited about projects that are creating positive social impact. In 2016, she graduated with a BS in Anthropology and Business from Skidmore College. After falling in love with a communication design class her senior year, Ella went to work as a project manager at Schipper Design, a graphic design firm. Fascinated by the relationship between human behavior and design, she moved to New York to pursue a career in user experience design. In the fall of 2018, she finished a UX immersive program at General Assembly and worked with a startup, Dressmate, to develop an on-boarding and seamless brand experience. At the beginning of 2019, General Assembly selected her to be a UX instructional associate, in which she has taught user research and design methods to over 40 students while freelancing for a wide range of start-ups.
