Founder, Empowered Tech

San Francisco

Carol was a University Executive before moving over to EdTech in 2015. She is the former VP of Hackbright Academy before its acquisition in 2016. She has also advised numerous other bootcamps and edtech startups in this space ever since. She founded Empowered Tech in 2017 to provide women in tech a space to share tips, tools, and resources while helping them with their career aspirations. Since its inception, Empowered Tech has grown to over 900 members. Dr. Carol is also a published author and playwright as well as a trained therapist where her research and work focus has been female self-esteem development. Recently, she joined a new startup that provides online mentoring to teens from under-resourced communities.
