DJ Saul
CMO, iStrategyLabs
DJ is the CMO & Managing Director of iSL (recently named an AdAge 2014 Small Agency of the Year), responsible for iSL’s marketing, operations, brand and business development, strategic relationships & partnerships, as well as facilitating iSL’s voracious appetite for R&D and constant experimentation. DJ is a co-producer of the DC Tech Meetup, is a member of the World Economic Forum’s Young Global Shapers, and serves on the board of Think Local First DC and Enstitute DC (a national apprenticeship program). He joined NextGen Angels in 2013, and manages iSL’s growing portfolio of investments in local startups.
He studied International Affairs at GW and studied in Beijing where he worked at cleantech startup (which failed gloriously). DJ continues to mentor and advise startups and early stage ventures on everything from digital to experiential marketing strategy, to brand and partnership development.
DJ won the Great Urban Race in Washington, DC and was a finalist in the New Orleans national championships — he also plays in the DC Bocce League, where his team (city champs & sponsored by the legendary Ben’s Chili Bowl) has donated thousands of dollars to local non-profits.
