Dennis launched his first startup about 2 years ago. About 1.5 years in, him and his team realized the business wasn’t working and decided they needed to “pivot”. They decided to be very intentional about using lean startup principles to make sure they didn’t spend another 1.5 years building something no one wanted. After 3 months of rapid product testing, they came up with the idea for User Interviews – a platform to recruit participants for product tests & market research interviews. Within 3 months of coming up with the idea, they had over 20 paying clients, including major companies like Pro.com, Constant Contact, and Uber.
