Delali Kpodzo is the co-founder of We Are Onyx—the first-ever online all-in-one beauty destination for women of color. A leading entrepreneur in the beauty industry, Delali grew Onyx from startup to $2.5 million in sales in less than 4 years, worked with prestige and boutique brands including Estee Lauder, Sol de Janeiro, and Revlon, and has been featured in major publications including Buzzfeed, Refinery29, and the Huffington Post. Born in Accra, Ghana, Delali moved to Europe and Canada before finally landing in Southern California. She studied film at the University of Southern California, earned her BA in International Relations and Economics at Occidental College, and earned her MBA in International Business and Marketing from the University of La Verne. She currently serves on the Board of Directors at the Dance Resource Center in Los Angeles, and mentors other business owners and executives on topics within entrepreneurship, and how to build meaningful, lasting brand equity with hard-to-reach demographics.
