Dave began his career in finance during the early days of online trading; becoming an equities and options trading manager. He left finance to pursue a passion for photography and a desire for more creativity. After restoring a 110-year-old building in Berlin, Maryland, he opened an art gallery featuring local sculptures, painters, and his photography. Dave sold the gallery and spent the next several years traveling and photographing landscapes and wildlife from Africa to the San Juan Islands. Looking for yet another career change, UX seemed like a perfect fit for his background in business, entrepreneurship, creativity, and design. Dave completed the UXDI course in early 2019 and has served as an Instructional Associate for multiple cohorts now. In his spare time, Dave likes to explore the California coast with his wife, their dog Ziggy, and his camera.
