Daniel Moniz

Senior Front End Developer, GroupBy Inc

Online

Daniel is a Senior Front End Developer at GroupBy Inc. in Toronto, Canada. After completing a degree in mathematics at the University of Waterloo, he wrote web-based APIs using Python and Flask. He then taught Ruby on Rails as a Lead Instructor of Web Development at General Assembly Toronto. He now resides as a Distinguished Faculty member at GA and continues to teach part-time.

Teaching had always been an unfulfilled passion before discovering the importance of disseminating knowledge in software development. He has been giving presentations and teaching ever since.

When he isn't teaching or coding, Daniel can be found playing and designing board and video games, performing improvised comedy, and much more.
