Cornell has over twenty years of experience within finance across the Asia Pacific having worked in financial institutions, accounting firms and in the past decade, as a finance leader for a range of technology companies.
In relation to hyper growth management, his experience includes being the country finance head for Amazon.com (China), at that time the fastest growing website for Amazon worldwide. Cornell was an integral player in achieving triple digit growth and doubling gross profits for three consecutive years as well as creating the world’s largest Chinese bookstore. As well, he was the Asia Pacific CFO for Groupon, Inc. managing 12 countries with approximately 3,500 staff. During his time at Groupon, the regional business experienced servalfold top line growth from the tens of millions to the hundreds of millions.
