Connie Moore is a retired Math and Business teacher from Hamilton High School. While at Hamilton, she served as the Director of the Business and Interactive Technology Academy at Hamilton High School (BITA). In this capacity, she partnered with the California Council of Economic Education to ensure the inclusion of financial literacy into the BITA curriculum. With the assistance of CCEE, she helped to create an annual event entitled "Family Financial Literacy Day". In addition, Ms. Moore implemented a dual credit program where students completed community college business courses while still enrolled in high school.
Ms. Moore taught the NFTE program for 9 years. During this time, she sent three teams to the regional finals. In 2015, Ms. Moore was selected as NFTE teacher of the year for the Los Angeles region. She won the NFTE Master Teacher challenge for 2018. In addition, Connie’s student won the National Student Entrepreneur Finals in October 2018. In addition to teaching Entrepreneurship, Ms. Kelly also taught Financial Algebra.
Before beginning her teaching career, Ms. Moore-Kelly worked spent over 25 years in a corporate environment. She has worked for the B2 Bomber program at Northrop Grumman and the Space Shuttle Program for then Rockwell International (Boeing). She also worked as a manager for the IBM Global Services Division. She currently serves as the Regional Trainer for the Network for Teaching Entrepreneurship (NFTE) non-profit organization. Connie obtained her BA of Mathematics from Pitzer College, in Claremont California. She received her MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix and completed her teaching credential at Chapman University.
