    Cassie Byrnes

print designer and owner of Variety Hour

    Melbourne

Cassie is a print designer based in Melbourne, originally hailing from North Queensland. Combining an old and new school approach to textile design, Cassie's creative work reflects her love of bold colour and nature, with a focus on Australiana and an abstract exploration of native flora and fauna. Cassie's artworks begin by using hand generated media such as collage, paint and loose ink mark making before blending it with digital practices that amplify the artworks' original integrity and handwriting.

‍Cassie runs local fashion label Variety Hour, which allows her to explore her aesthetic and push herself creatively and explore print design. This is balanced with collaborating with a range of clients on projects that have seen her prints on fashion, home, stationery, packaging, installations, murals, apps and many other wonderful things.

Her clients include the likes of Anthropologie, Google, Nike, Häagen-Dazs, Microsoft, Penguin, Gorman, Penguin, Kuwaii, Country Road and Frankie Magazine and many exciting projects already on the go for 2021.
