Casey grew up in Chillicothe, OH and enlisted in the Navy in 2005. Serving in Yokosuka, Japan as a Corrections Specialist. Knowing that the Military is not a career, he had to begin finding skills for when he intended to separate. After transitioning to the civilian sector in 2016, he knew his skills were best suited in the tech field, more so in the Information Security field. After looking at numerous Coding Boot Camps popping up daily, it was the team found at D.C.'s General Assembly campus that showed me passion and dedication to helping those willing, excel. The skills learned from General Assembly's Web Development Immersive compounded with soft skills learned from his time in the Navy, he secured a position working as a Cyber Security Analyst for Looking Glass Cyber Solutions. Using foundational skills from coding and the new skills learned as an Analyst, he now works as a Cyber Defense Analyst for AIG. When not at work, he assists in the development of a High School and Middle School Hacking team in learning both coding skills and cyber security skills necessary in today's technology centric economy.
