An Ohio native, Carina Gerry fell into the tech industry almost by accident after receiving her bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering. After being hired by Accenture in 2001, Carina cultivated her skills as a Java Developer for eight years until she discovered her inherent affinity and aptitude for Quality Assurance.
A match made in heaven, Carina has been seeking out bugs and serving as the last line of defense for great software products since 2008. Now as a QA Manager, Carina balances her everyday duties of spotting defects and managing employees with actively contributing to the company culture at SalesLoft, such as the Inclusion and Diversity initiative she is leading.
Carina vents her workday frustrations by participating in the Atlanta Rollergirls, where she is now an official and coach after seven years of skating. Carina resides in Decatur with her wife and 2-year-old son, as well as a plethora of house pets.
