Boshika Tara is currently an instructor for the Software Engineering immersive program at General Assembly, Los Angeles. Previously she was a software engineer for a development agency in Santa Monica, California, developing applications for Fortune 10 clients. In previous life, Boshika was a research associate in a neuroscience lab at Stanford University, where working on large genome sequencing projects analyzing data she developed a passion, and appreciation for computer science, and programming. Boshika has a Masters in Computational Sciences from Johns Hopkins University, and a BS in Molecular Biology, and Genetics from Cal State-East Bay. Her current interests include teaching software development, machine learning, and big data.
