Bill Newell co-founded NorthSouth Studios in 2005 and currently serves as its CEO. Under his leadership NorthSouth Studios is transitioning from a content and systems development studio to a mobile and augmented reality company. NorthSouth Studios has created a platform, innovative applications and tools to easily deploy augmented reality experiences. Prior to starting NorthSouth Studios, Bill served as the COO of the Knowledge Kids Network, a Knowledge Universe company. Before joining Knowledge Universe, Bill was VP of production for iXL Inc, a NASDAQ listed internet services company. Prior to joining IXL, Bill was Vice President of Production for Digital Planet, an Internet services company. Bill started his career at Philips Media where he managed a production studio for the family and entertainment division.
Bill's ability to increase productivity without sacrificing quality has been proven time and time again and is a key asset to the company. Bill’s areas of focus are augmented reality, mobile apps, games, and AI. Bill has implemented hundreds of projects for major brands like Mattel, Intel, Disney Online, Warner Brothers, Leapfrog Toys, US Postal service, K12, Kaplan, and many more. Bill holds a BA degree in accounting and business administration from Universidad San Martin de Porras in Lima, Peru, and a post graduate degree in Banking from IPAE.
