Betsy McPherson moved to Denver in 1996 after she graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in English Literature. After working in the private sector running a fashion accessories company, she decided that she could leverage everything she learned there to help others change their lives for the better. In 2014, she joined Women’s Bean Project, a transitional workforce development program committed to helping chronically unemployed, impoverished women attain self-sufficiency. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, reading, eating, skiing and travelling. She lives in Denver, CO with her husband and 3 children.
