Ben applies user-centred design to define the strategic UX vision for Ford's vehicle platforms across Asia-Pacific. Cars are increasingly complex digital products!
He places the user at the centre of the hardware, software and services that define the user experience, inside and out of the vehicle. This encompasses extensive user research and testing across global markets, journey mapping, defining experience themes and moments, problem definition, facilitating ideation, defining enablers, prototyping and evaluating.
Prior to Ford, Ben spent over a decade defining, designing and delivering the user experience for some of Australia's largest organisations across retail, finance, energy and utilities, government, education and telecommunications. His skills and experience span the domains of Customer Experience Design, Service Design, User Experience Design, Interaction Design and Visual Design, and he can also write code too.
Ben has been challenged repeatedly to build experience design teams and capability. He's had direct experience in establishing design teams, defining process, and driving the change needed to make an experience-led organisation.
