Ben serves as Head of Ventures for Mars Petcare, helping accelerate startups from the global leader in petcare. His efforts include the $100M Companion Fund and Leap Venture Studio for early stage companies. Ben joined Mars via the acquisition of Whistle, which he co-founded and was CEO from start until 2018. Whistle catalyzed a connected devices category and today leads the industry with its Whistle 3 pet tracker & activity monitor. Prior to founding Whistle, Ben served as an Entrepreneur-in-Residence and investment professional with DCM Ventures evaluating startups from seed to growth stages and as a management consultant at Bain & Company, where he worked across technology, private equity and consumer goods. He holds B.A. and M.A. degrees from Yale University.
