Ashland Viscosi is the founder of Creatives Meet Business, an event and podcast series based out of Austin, Texas for creatives of ALL disciplines to no longer think of themselves just as "artists" and "creatives" but also as "small business owners" and "entrepreneurs.” She also founded CreativeTribes, a curated network that provides creatives (or creatively-minded folks) with accountability groups to help focus on business goals and personal development. Her background also includes work within film and production, from assisting a variety of clients with sales and marketing efforts to advertising agencies and companies to consulting with independent filmmakers on festival strategies. She has produced several short films to date; including the festival hits Rat Pack Rat (Sundance 2014 - Special Jury Prize for Unique Vision, SXSW 2014), Slash (Fantastic Fest 2013, Maryland Film Festival 2013), Easy (SXSW 2014) and was a production consultant for TOWER (SXSW 2016 - Documentary Grand Jury Winner & Documentary Feature Audience Award Winner). Ashland continues to work with the ATX Television Festival as its Sponsor Relations Coordinator and is the Creative Director for Social Media Week Independent Austin (SMWi Austin). Ashland previously served on the Board of Directors for the Austin Young Chamber of Commerce (AYC) and is a graduate of the Leadership Austin program.
