Andrew Murray

Software Engineering Immersive Instructor, General Assembly

Austin

Meet Andrew Murray, a Full-Stack engineer and Educator at General Assembly. Andrew comes from a less traditional background, which more often than not aligns with many of the students that end up taking GA's immersive programs. Andrew has been a musician since his younger years and went to Roberto Venn School of Lutherie, where he studied how to build and repair stringed instruments (with a focus in guitars). Andrew specializes in React, Node and JavaScript, and has worked some in the startup scene in Austin as well as on Enterprise grade software, focusing on product design and infrastructure. He is very passionate about teaching other people not only how to learn but also how to share their knowledge with others. He loves a challenge and hopes to tackle one with you as you embark on your journey as a Software Engineer.
