Andrea Christie is currently pursuing a Ph.D in Blockchain for Charities, whereby she is investigating ways to increase perceived donor trust in the Australian charity sector using distributed ledger technology. As a digital tamper-proof record, it promises to promote transparency by enabling donations to be securely tracked dollar-for-dollar in real time; consequently, she seeks to inform on how crypto information disclosure methods will impact on donor trust and their ethical design implications. She is also the Chief Education Manager at the Blockchain Philanthropy Foundation (BPF) whereby she is responsible for raising awareness on maximising social impact through blockchain applications.
