Alex is a designer, storyteller, educator, researcher and maker-of-things.
Currently Alex works as Director of Design Research at Wondros, a production and creative agency that focuses on in impact work in service of social challenges. Previously worked as founder of Super Curious, a social impact design firm that specializes in product design and human-centered-design workshop facilitation for international impact causes.
As an educator, Alex guest lectures at UC Berkeley Haas on ‘Design Thinking for Entrepreneurs,’ Art Center on Design Research, and has taught the immersive User Experience Design course at General Assembly. She also leads and designs workshops for the OpenIDEO Los Angeles chapter of 300+ professionals.
Prior to design; she worked as a photojournalist and draws upon this and 9+ years of experience working at international tech startups to her work.
To keep a positive life balance, you can find her exploring (and living!) abroad, backpacking, printmaking, mountain climbing, head-standing and photographing the urban and natural. Alex holds a BA in Art Studio and Global Studies from U.C. Santa Barbara.

In this course, the learner will gain a hands-on introduction to data analytics and visualization using SQL and Tableau.
