Interactive Designer and Creative Entrepreneur

New York City

Alex is an interactive designer and creative entrepreneur hailing from Philadelphia, who currently resides in Brooklyn. Most recently, Alex worked around the corner at Purpose, a movement accelerator, where he crafted user experiences for websites, campaigns and mobile applications that had significant positive impact on a wide variety of hot-button issues. His aptitude for visual design and typography has led to a unique aesthetic in much of his UX design work, drawing on his ongoing fascination with mid-century modernism. His experience in the fast-paced agency space has led to an approach to teaching that is grounded in real-world problem solving, learning how to ask the right questions, and fostering the skills to get off the ground quickly. In his spare time, Alex is co-founder of a social enterprise called K&P Partners, as well as a designer for electronic record label Moodgadget. He holds an MFA in Design & Technology from Parsons and enjoys cooking extravagantly for friends, digging deep for new music, and exploring the great outdoors.
