All of our courses, workshops, and enterprise trainings are available in a live online format.

Case Study: Designing an Online Program

We design our programs intentionally for the remote format, using adult teaching techniques to keep learners engaged. Active participation is built into every 10 minutes of class time thanks to tools like:

  • Breakout rooms

  • Polls

  • Interactive demos

  • Digital whiteboarding

  • Online prototyping

  • and more

Students can also gain individualized support through virtual office hours. We’re constantly sourcing feedback to refine and enrich our learning experiences — online and off.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which GA offerings are available in a 100% live online format?

All of them! Take part in our short-form workshops, evening and 1-week skill-building courses, and career-changing Immersives from wherever you are. Our enterprise training programs can also be delivered to distributed teams in an engaging, online environment.

Do remote offerings take place on a set schedule or are they self-paced?

GA’s remote programs are structured around live sessions, offered in part- and full-time formats. Time commitments vary by offerings. If you are interested in self-paced learning, check out our mentor-guided On Demand learning experiences.

What do career services look like for remote Immersive students?

The same as our on-campus experience! We approach our remote Outcomes programming with the same philosophy, promise to, and expectations of our students. Get an insider’s look at the industry through virtual sessions like day-in-the-life talks, hiring panel discussions, guest speakers, and more. You’ll work individually with your career coach to understand your local job market, find opportunities, and connect with the local tech community.

Our Admissions team can provide more details on the dedicated job support you’ll receive on the path to landing a new role.

Why would I opt to take a GA course remotely?

Our remote courses offer a learning experience that mirrors GA’s on-campus offerings but allow you to learn from the comfort of home. If you don’t live near a GA campus, have a busy travel schedule, or want to save yourself the commute, a remote course could be a good option for you, if available in your market. You'll still get access to expert instructors, learning resources, and our global community.

If you prefer to learn alongside your peers and can make it to campus, our in-person courses allow you to take advantage of our beautiful classrooms and workspaces.

Our Admissions team can advise you on the best format for your personal circumstances and learning style.

*All of our programming is currently offered remotely.

What equipment do I need to succeed in a remote course?

Requirements vary by course but, in general, you will need to have your own computer (a Mac is strongly recommended) and an external monitor (ideally 28” or bigger).

You’ll also need access to high-speed internet (wired Ethernet connection is strongly recommended) and a dedicated, quiet workspace where you feel comfortable focusing, preferably in a private room.

Do GA’s remote courses have any restrictions on enrollment?

Online courses are not open to enrollments for residents of the following U.S. states: Alabama, Nebraska, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, and Wyoming. Remote courses are not available for Ontario residents at this time.

Am I eligible for financing for a remote course?

Remote financing options vary by region. Contact our Admissions team to learn more about your options
