    About this event

We all need money to pay the bills, support our community and create our dream lifestyle. To make that paper, you need to confidently ask for a rate or salary that reflects your incredible value, and control how you influence and show up in your relationships with stakeholders. If asking for what you deserve and need in business scares you, this workshop is for you!

Look, it’s not your fault you weren’t taught how to negotiate or have influence during critical conversations. Your parents likely taught you to be resilient, work hard and to be grateful for your job opportunities. They didn’t teach you to unapologetically ask for what you deserve and be willing to walk away from a bad deal. And, as a Womxn of Color, you likely had limited access to educational resources and mentors that could show you the way.

This workshop is designed to jumpstart your confidence and overcome your fears and behavior patterns that stop you from activating your voice, so you can start negotiating like a badass, gain influence and empower relationships in your work and in your business.

All are welcome: This is designed for all self-identified WOCs, including cis, gay, straight, non-binary and trans womxn -- if you're looking to level up your pay, positions, and recognition in their careers come through. AND any and all allies are welcome because we ALL gotta get paid and support one another.

    Takeaways

    • Identifying and managing the self-critical and self-sabotaging voices that typical stop WOCs from negotiating well or negotiating at all
    • Three immediate steps you can take to get clear on your compensation goals, organize what to say at the negotiation table and be confident in your value
    • A list of things you should avoid saying in your negotiation conversations (and life) and things you should start saying today
