About this event

Women make up less than 30% of the computing workforce and about 1.5% of contributions to open source projects. This is something that is important for both men and women alike to become aware of and to address. This workshop will focus on this gender gap and introduce you to people who are passionate about this issue. There will be a panel which will be made up individuals who come from various backgrounds and who dedicate their time, heart, and talent to making a tangible impact in their field and who believe in seeing more diversity in their field. The panel will tell you why they are passionate about seeing this gender gap addressed and what they believe the future of technology should look like.
