About this event

Come have a fun night of socializing, drinking wine and coding!

Kicking off the night, Wine Gallery will run an exclusive wine tasting session. Then we'll start our coding workshop. During this fun, interactive experience you will use HTML, CSS, and Javascript to build a beautiful website to share with clients, add to your portfolio, or use as a tool in your job search. Whatever the reason, you'll have fun building a site in two hours, while drinking wine.
Please ensure you are on time, as the class will start!
By writing your own lines of code, you’ll:

  • Get a closer look at how the developer community and many different fields benefit from coding knowledge.
  • Learn how HTML and CSS function together to form the backbone of the web.
  • Cover key coding terms and principles.
  • Develop a custom, working web page from scratch.

If you've ever been interested in learning how to code, this is a great event to get your feet wet! At GA, we provide a welcoming, kind and fun environment to learn. All are invited to attend.

Chart your own career path. Pick up where this workshop leaves off. Design and build a custom site online in our mentor-guided HTML, CSS, & Web Design Circuit. Incorporate JavaScript and code dynamic sites in our part-time, on-campus Front-End Web Development workshop. Or, go all-in and become a job-ready developer our 12-week, full-time Web Development program, available on campus and online.

Takeaways

  • know the difference between HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • know how to get started with coding
