About This Class

If you're new to prototyping or wireframing then this class is for you. In this hands-on workshop participants will be exposed to the thinking necessary to create great prototypes and get them in front of users as quickly as possible.

Participants will gain an understading of how the different tools available can be combined to produce meaningful results to aid with iterative development. Starting at the lo-fi end with pen and paper (it's important!), the class will move on to lean, web based tools (Balsamiq, Marvel, Sketch).

The fundamentals covered in this class also prove useful for dealing with developers and agile teams.

Please note: you will need a laptop to use the tools in this workshop

Takeaways

  • An understanding of why we make prototypes and what outcomes we're looking for
  • An overview of the web-based tools available
  • A chance to try out tools

Preparation

A laptop is required for participation in the activities.
