About this event

Are you looking to hire talented User Experience Designers that are ready to hit the ground? Then come and meet Melbourne’s newest and hottest UX Designers with 21st century skills that are high in demand at this industry-only hiring event.

You will get to meet General Assembly’s talented graduate UX Designers who have really been put through their paces with 400+hours here at GA. There will be an opportunity to exchange contact details with them as well as build up your talent pools. These developers are ready to go and are hungry to learn and build.

On the night you will receive a hardcopy Graduate Profile Book for you to take some notes in as you meet our grads, discuss their work, see project examples and code and talk career goals with them.

We’ll also email you a digital version of the Profile Book following the event, so you can share with your colleagues, or click through to student profile links.

General Assembly’s User Experience Designers:

• Have undertaken intensive UX Design training from expert instructors.

• Are up to speed with the most current UX practices used by industry.

• Can confidently demonstrate the value of UX to stakeholders.

• Are fluent in UX methodology.

• Have proven experience in User Research, competitive analysis and usability testing.

• Know how to sketch, prototype, and iterate on findings.

• Have solid design presentation techniques.

• Have a UX portfolio that shows complete process, not just an end result.

• Are focused on being a strong advocate for the user.

Prereqs & Preparation

Graduates at this event are looking for paid employment, apprenticeship roles and many are open to both. Please discuss your preferences for hiring with graduates as you meet them.
