More than a just a buzzword, Data Science is a way of thinking about the world around you. In this class, we'll be introducing the basic workflow of Data Scientists and how Python fits into that workflow. We will concentrate on the first steps in the Data Science workflow: defining your question (and thinking about the data you need!) and using Python to begin to explore and clean your data. Note: We will not get into machine learning. This class is more to get your feet wet with Data Science. It could be a useful introduction for those thinking about enrolling in the Data Science class at General Assembly.

Some knowledge of Python (or another programming language) is useful, but not necessary. If you do not have a version of Python on your computer, please install the Anaconda distribution of Python 2.7.

If you have already installed Python 2.7, please install the "pandas" package as well as an IDE of your choosing (I'll be using Spyder).
